• The company is jointly owned by Ian Davis, Ph.D. and Anne Crowe, M.D. Ian Davis is responsible for software development, marketing, and customer relations. Anne Crowe is responsible for financial management and marketing.

THE MANAGEMENT TEAM

TextServer.com is owned and managed, jointly, by:

Ian J. Davis, M.Sc. (Toronto, 1982), Ph.D. (Waterloo, 1988).

• 25 years experience in software development (particularly relational database and text management systems).
  
• 1994--1997 Manager, C.S.S.C. text research project, University of Waterloo. This award-winning project at the University of Waterloo focused on the integration of structured text and relational data, and involved the participation of OpenText, Fulcrum, SoftQuad, InContext, Grafnetix, Megalith and Industry Canada. While working for this project, Ian contributed to the evolving SQL/MM international standard for text.
  
• 1997--present, working part-time as lecturer and researcher at University of Waterloo, while developing TextServer engine.

Anne R. Crowe, M.D.

• Medical director, holding various senior management positions.
• Recently completed an M.B.A. at Wilfrid Laurier University.

Close affiliation with the University of Waterloo gives TextServer.com ready access to co-op and newly graduating students. Research partnerships are also possible.
